lol, i hope not, a holiday is a happy time and 9/11 wasn't happy and shouldn't be rememberd like that.
correct me if im wrong but is thanksgiving about the people who sailed from Plymouth in England ages ago and saved lots of Americans or somthing, and the people who were saved made a meal for the other people, and so now you have a meal and say what you're thankful for? or maybe thats a load of jibberish?

Lol. Dood, I cannot help but chuckle at that. You started right, but kinda got it backwards after. The puritans sailed into plymouth from england, and when they got there, they faced hardship due to the poor land and conditions. The Amerindians (the new PC term for native americans) came and helped out the puritans, and soon after they decided to have a day of thanks for the help they recieved. Now, it's just a family thing, where everyone gets together and enjoys eachother's company. And I don't think they will make 9/11 a holiday, personally. They didn't make the pearl harbor attacks a holiday. I believe it will just be a day of rememberance. Anywho, thats it for my history lesson. Good thing I took AP United States History, eh? ^_-

Lol. I've always known. My father is american, so naturally I celebrate it. Also, I've been going to an american school system all my life, even if it's been overseas, so we've always had it off. But I don't the the question was specifically directed at me. ^_^;;;;;

Haha. I just figured since I am part american and I've basically known as far back as I can remember, that It probably wasn't directed toward me. Alright, now I just feel like posting this even though you all may or may not know this. For a usual thanksgiving dinner, we tend to go back to eating what was able to be made back in the day easily. There is almost always Turkey, of course, but it's not uncommon to find people eating a large chunk of ham. Common side dishes include, but are not limited to, stuffing, yams, cranberry sauce, corn, green beans (often in a cassarole style), and others that give it that holiday touch. For desert we usually eat a sort of pie, be it apple (my personal favorite), pecan, or pumpkin. ^_^

Nothing to be sorry about. Haha. It's perfectly alright. Alright, Pecan Pie is really tasty. You should look up a recepie if you have the chance, if only to see the ingredients. Pumpkin pie is pretty good too, and it's not really stringy, just so ya know. ^_- A Yam is a kind of Sweet Potato. There ya go, almighty page sixteeninator. ^_-
