nice. hey, ive always wondered. what do you come up with first? the music, or the lyrics? ive always wondered how people did that exactally.

its always the melody first, like i will be playing guitar or piano and be humming the melody along with it, or i fill find a riff i like and build the chord progression around the riff. sometimes i will just sing a line without an instrument then have to match the chords to it. i have a voice recorder on my phone and record it if i pick up a good one out of thin air, go home and match the chords. So it depends really.
I find the best songs are the ones that just clicked straight away, like the song "not sure" and "change a million" these i came up with the riffs the melody and lyrics staright away.
