Hey Gaz, hows things with you? Do you use MSN or anything? I've dropped the nickname as it has racially offensive roots. You still in Stoke?

Yeah mate. Still living in Stoke, although I've moved house 8 times in the last 4 years and am looking to move near to Alton in September. I'm a partner in a web design company called Cyberzia and am a Director of Select Destinations, setting up a company called View by Video. Lots and lots happening.
How's London treating ya?

All good stuff. I'm residing in North London, Muswell Hill to be precise where I keep getting stared at by Mackenzie Crook on my trip to Sainsburys Local trying to hide away under his hat. Saving some money to move to hopefully the Kensington area with my fiancée. I work freelance mainly web developing, got a couple of clients. I'd like to create music but I can't afford Cubase yet My fiancée, Honey is a vocalist, I can kind of play guitar as you may remember, no where near as good as yourself or my brother, although I can create a little music. My brother is at Leeds Met studying Music Technology, you might see him out and about as he's staying at my parents at the moment. Can you get me cheap property in Florida? Hi to Kad Neil

Neil if you are looking at creating music, i can recomend a program called reason 3.0, it plugs in to cubase and its amazing for creating music, its what i use.
sounds like you are doing well in london, me and chris aka "milliondreams" went down there to watch the red bull air race a few weeks ago. I think id like to live in london, how do you find it?

Hey Andy,
I know Reason, used to use it for a while but then I lost it with a hard drive failure, haven't spent enough time with our instruments, I need to get reacquainted with the keyboard and guitar. I have Cubase now but I need to get a MIDI link up from my keyboard, do you know the best way to this, the keyboard has MIDI output and I'd like the best quality connection available?
London has it's good and bad points, of course it depends what you want, but it does have a lot offer and I feel much more at home here than I ever did in Stoke.
Public transport is nuts compared to Japan and Europe, I'm not driving at the moment, and I don't have anywhere to park a car except on the main road which can be a nightmare and you risk your car being ran into by thingy head motorists (who treat this road as a short cut) If you take a car, taxi or get chauffeur driven everywhere then you can better appreciate the city.
Having said that, I can't imagine living somewhere like Stoke again, people seem so out of touch with the rest of the world and the world around them. My Fiancée and I are thinking of moving into a more central area of London, hopefully either Knightsbridge or High Street Kensington area.
The Muswell Hill area where we live now is OK, but would be so much nicer if it wasn't surrounded by Wood Green and Bounds Green, which sound like pleasant places by name but when you visit the areas you get the opposite of what you'd expect to see, it's like the crap end of Hanley. With that you get the overflow of thingy sacks who come in from Wood Green and think hanging out in Muswell Hill is much better, polluting the area. The property prices in Muswell Hill are double, if not treble that of Wood Green, but I guess the proles envy those living in the large million pound Victorian houses in Muswell Hill and like to shout, fight and mug.
You've got a huge choice of entertainment here, although lately I've been quite crap on getting out and visiting new places, however, I can say I've been to the Museums, loads of restaurants, shops, bars and clubs, you'll find somewhere you'll love and be accepted, not to say you're not accepted now, but in Stoke I found if you like a wide selection of music or something unique and different, people liked to ridicule your choice of lifestyle. You couldn't bounce from one scene to another cause there were only a handful of places which were pretty dire and you had to be one or the other not both.
If you can find work down here it's obviously much better paid, and I'd recommend trying London out for 6 months, at least for the experience, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm pretty sure you'd like it, although I'm basing that on who I knew in school rather than who you are now.
I should be on the board of tourism for London with that spiel.
Anyway, speak soon. Neil

you can buy usb midi leads now, but im not sure how good the latancy (amaount of delay) is
i use a midi lead connected into my pci sound card and the latancy is about 4 miliseconds, but a bog standard sound card probibly wont have the option of attaching a midi lead to it so your best option is probibly a usb one. They are 20 quid in stoke so about 3 million in london?
iv got to go to london for work on 28th of october, its in bishopsgate. is that anywhere near you?
the job i do now was transfered from london so the pay is as good as london pay, but id still love to live there :-)

A house in Florida? If you've got the money, I've got the houses!
Good to hear that things are going well for you. Things aren't too bad up here these days. Just moved to Alton. It's quite nice around there - very peaceful.
Are you planning on visiting this area at any point?
